Miami, Florida – Gran Meliá Puerto Rico recently unveiled Yhi Spa, Sol Meliá’s new wellness brand. Named after the goddess of light, Yhi Spa is a sanctuary of total well-being and rejuvenation, dedicated to the body, mind and spirit, a fusion of ancient cultures, exotic traditions and modern services and treatments. 

Yhi Spa’s unique Rainforest Signature Collection is procured from the special healing properties of the rainforest, and contains the fragrant life-energy essences and aromas of its medicinal plants, flowers, roots, fruits and woods. Rich in beneficial nutrients, phytochemicals and active compounds, they have been used to sustain health and wellbeing for centuries. Yhi Spa’s intoxicating therapies and signature treatments include:

Pure Indulgence – A three-step, 80 minute ritual, it rehydrates, soothes and cleanses, beginning with a granulated brown sugar poultice scrub dipped in warm cocoa-mint oil. After the scrub, honey, citric juices and a blend of shea-aloe cream is applied. The treatment is complete with a lukewarm hydrotherapy bath and a relaxing massage.

Traditional Rainforest Massage –An aromatherapeutic25 & 50 minutes massage designed to promote the absorption of the sedative, regenerative, and purifying blend of solar-infused herbal oils of organic marjoram, lime, lavender, sage, and patchouli.

Rainforest Herbal Floral Bath – Rejuvenate and heal your skin, the Rainforest aroma therapeutic blend of of lavender, marjoram, sage, lime and patchouli herbs, flowers and roots in our baths will activates the senses as it stimulates the immune system and invigorates your mind, body, and spirit.

Yhi Spa is a 12,000 square foot, two-story full-service, indoor and open-air facility set against a backdrop of lush caribbean gardens and sea breezes. Guests entering Yhi Spa encounter a Zen-like refuge replete with soothing aromas, soft music, the tender touch of expert hands and superior products, providing the perfect balance to today’s frenetic pace.

Yhi Spa services and treatments include a vast array of massages, facials, scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy rituals; the latest fitness equipment with weights and cardiovascular equipment; personalized and group Tai Chi and private outdoor relaxation pool, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, a beauty salon and spa boutique.

Yhi Spa is under the direction of Spa Director Andrea Moczo Alicea, who manages and oversees day-to-day operations.
